QUEEN are working on a “new” album of demos from their 1980s heyday.
Guitarist Brian May, 64, told me he and drummer Roger Taylor, 62, are “going through some old drawers” to find unreleased songs recorded with frontman Freddie Mercury, who died in 1991.
Brian said: “As well as seeing what we can unearth, we want to do a new musical to follow We Will Rock You. The songs are there, it’s just a question of finding time to get the right production.”

Since it’s Freddie Mercury’s birthday, I just wanna share my favorite song of Queen. I can still vividly remember how a FreddieM fanboy my Dad is by playing their song as my lullaby. He had a VHS collection of their concerts and I can say I grew up with them, considering I was born the year Freddie Mercury died.
This song has a sentimental value for me, influencing my inclination to classical music. If you’ll listen clearly, Mozart and Chopin excerpts are added to the melody especially the harpsichord part, plus a glissando. Ahh, those times.
