Do you see this guy? He is standing still. He has no stance. And last I checked, you can’t just bend with your mind. The very core of bending is rooted in martial arts right? As in movement. They bend their elements with movement. The benders can’t just will the elements to move, that’s more X-Men than Avatar. They have to move with it. 

Now if I may direct your attention to Aang. It just appears to me that he is in a stance that could possibly be a bending stance. See Tarlok for comparison.

Now admittedly there are people in the background who might be getting blood bent as well. Maybe not. Maybe they’re just freaked out.

But unless this Yakone has figured out a way to bend without moving, to bend with his mind. Then I’m actually going to bet on Aang here.

Remember that King Bumi could bend only with his mind?

King Bumi bends with his face. His face muscles. You can see how strained they were when Bumi started bending amidst being locked up.
