arbitol: Congratulations to UP ALCHEMES for successfully holding Research Fair 2012, the biggest high school science research fair in the country! RF 2012 with the theme “Flashpoint: Igniting the Nation’s Next Wave of Innovations” received immense participation with more than 420 participants coming from 38 participating high schools from all over the country. It was a two-day event composed of the exhibit presentations, closed-door defense, workshops for both students and advisers, and the final presentation of the Top 5 teams. It also featured performances from the UP Streetdance Club, UP Concert Chorus, UP Repertory Company, and UP ALCHEMES’ own creative groups. Out of 127 research entries from all over the country, these five research projects emerged to the top: 4th Runner-UpPlatelet Augmentation by Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) Leaf Extract in White Miceby Wendy B.
